Sorry this post is so late today, guys! I’ve been wrestling with an iPhoto update and some issues with my photo editing software for a few hours now, but I finally worked everything out.
This recipe is amazing! I originally got it from a friend at church, but I’ve changed a lot of things to make it into something I love. We have it regularly in the winter, and it’s a great recipe for a crowd.
Here are the ingredients:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 cans chicken broth
4 cans great northern beans
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp oregano
1 Tbsp cumin
1/2 Tbsp black pepper
1/2 Tbsp cayenne pepper
1 cup sour cream
16 oz heavy whipping cream
Cut the chicken into small pieces, and sauté in a large pot with the garlic and onion powder. Cook until the chicken is cooked through. Add in the chicken broth, beans, and seasonings & bring to a boil.
Simmer for 30 minutes to an hour. Add in sour cream and heavy cream & serve.
Mmmm, I feel warmer just looking at it. I hope you’re staying warm tonight – it’s going to get down to about 10 degrees here, so we’ll be under extra blankets!
