Lisa and I met in the summer of 2010 through an internship at our church called the Leadership Training Project. Initially, we thought we couldn’t be more different. I was big into sports and dressed super girly (oddly enough), and Lisa was in the U of A marching band & was teaching herself Greek.
Although our interests were different, we got along really well and became friends instantly. I taught Lisa how to thrift store shop, and she now owns over 20 dresses. She recently used the hashtag #begrudginglygirly to describe how she feels about her new-found femininity. She has influenced me as well. I even went to see the latest Star Trek movie with Matt! I tried to brag about it to Lisa, but ended up spelling Spock’s name wrong (Spach, like Bach the composer – it made sense to me), ruining that minor victory.
It’s surprising how we are in such similar life stages. We really noticed this when writing the ‘meet‘ page of our blog. We are thankful that God has allowed us to have such a deep friendship & has kept us close even after Matt & I moved to Kentucky. When Lisa asked me to start a blog with her, it just made sense to say yes. So, after months of praying, researching, planning, designing, redesigning, & redesigning once more….here we are!
