Adoption isn’t easy.

For us, adopting isn’t just about adding children to our family. We believe that God calls us to care for orphans (Isaiah 1:17, James 1:27), and we believe that these easily overlooked embryonic orphans are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13-16).

But we also recognize that God didn’t call us to this alone. He graciously placed us in a body of believers to support us on this journey. Already, we have been so encouraged by friends and family who are excited about our adoption.

We wanted to share two big ways that you can help us with our adoption:

We need it. We need prayer for diligence with the giant checklist of forms, packets of reading material, and hours of online training. We need prayer for patience through the matching phase & legal paperwork.

We need prayer for a rock-solid trust in God’s sovereign plan for our family, and an unwavering knowledge that God is Good no matter what.

This week we’re officially kicking off our adoption fundraiser!

You guys know that adoptions can get very expensive. One of the good things about embryo adoption is that it’s not as expensive as other adoption options. Still, including Nightlight’s program fees, home study fees, and medical expenses, we’re looking at this adoption costing us $12-16,000.

After looking around at a lot of fundraiser ideas, we decided to do a puzzle fundraiser.

How it Works:

I designed a 1,000 piece puzzle that looks like this:

If you’d like to donate to our adoption, you can sponsor a puzzle piece at $10/piece. We’ll write your name on the back of the piece (or pieces) that you sponsor, and when the puzzle is complete, we’ll hang it in the nursery.

On one side, it will remind us of God’s promise & provision, and the other side will be a humbling reminder of everyone who helped bring our baby home, a testament to the body of Christ. 

How to Donate:
