A {Subtle} Kitchen Makeover

Hello, dear readers! Sorry I’ve been pretty MIA this month, but this spring has been a doozie. I’ve travelled a lot (you might have heard that my sweet Grandmother Dorothy passed away a few weeks ago), and I’ve been working hard on that list of goals for 2015.

I finally have my garden up and running, so you can expect a post on that soon, as well as some reviews of my favorite books I’ve read so far this year.

But for now – a kitchen makeover!

Triangle Quilt & Gardening {On Success & Failure}

Way back at the beginning of the summer, I wrote a few posts about two big summer goals: hand-quilting & gardening. Now that the summer is over, I thought I’d give you an update.

First, my big failure: the garden!

I dug. I planted. I watered. I waited.

Then things started to come up. But because I’d planted seeds instead of plants, I didn’t know if what was coming up was weeds or seeds. And I also got a fair amount of lazy, since it was too hot outside for me to want to weed anything.
