dear baby A & B

Can you believe it? We’re already halfway through your time in the womb! Somedays I feel like the time has just flown by, but other days it seems like I’ve been pregnant with you for an eternity. I’m so eager to meet you face to face! The wait is hard, but worth it.

I think you both enjoyed our little celebratory ice cream earlier this week. You certainly wiggled around with excitement for a few minutes there afterwards. Or maybe you were just cold? It’s been way too cold here lately. Mommy is more than willing to just stay inside and rest with you two on these long winter nights.

Everyone says we should rest now, because once you get here we won’t be doing much of that. I’m sure that’s true, but I’m still ready to have you in my arms. No matter how much sleep you steal from us (you’ve already been doing some of that to Mommy), no matter how much messier life will soon be, we’re ready to face it.

We want to show you the love of your Heavenly Father through our love and sacrifice to you in the everyday details of life. I know it will be hard more days than it’s easy, but I hope and pray that we’re the type of parents that love you well… on the good days and the bad.

We pray for you often. We hope you know how much you are loved by us both already. Keep growing strong, and we’ll see you soon. We’re halfway there, and living on lots of prayers (you’ll get that joke one day when you’re older)!

with all our love heart

Lover of all things sweet...my husband, our twins +1, our adorable cocker spaniel, and Reese's peanut butter cups. But I know none sweeter than the name of Jesus.
  1. Cara & Matt – Great work on the updates! I really hope you are printing/saving these segments of your blog in some fashion for these two little treasures. May you always be blessed with Love for Jesus. Always, Best Wishes. dory Muir, Cherokee Village, AR

    1. Thank you, Mrs. Dory! I’ll have to make a scrapbook of them soon as a keepsake. πŸ™‚ Good idea!

      1. Hi. Fantastic Quick Reply. Hope you do that…For our 7 1/2 y/o grandson, I’m making a “Memories Book” – which includes anecdotes from our visits, plus letters to him…you may want to suggest that to your Mother(s). Always, Hugs & Love, dory

      2. Aww, that’s a wonderful idea! I will! πŸ™‚
