The Krampy Shanty {July ’14 – July ’17}

Okay, so if we’re friends on Facebook or if you follow me on Instagram, you know by now that we’ve done some major work on our house lately. And by “we” I mean the contractor we hired. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Well, ain’t nobody with three kids under age 3 got time for that.

Matt and I are working our tailbones off getting our new furniture built (Matt), rooms decorated and organized (Cara) and “after” photos taken (Cara while Matt keeps kids entertained in another room). That’s not quite done just yet, but as I was working on it I realized I never even updated with after photos of what our house has looked like for the last three years. Oops. I shared “The Krampy Shanty Before Photos”, but nothing after that.

Well, it’s kind of too late, because we already finished the basement and started re-arranging the layout of like….everything…. before I remembered to take those pictures. BUT, I’ve searched my camera roll on my phone and found several photos of what our house has looked like for the past three years.

These three years we lived in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1,080 square foot house that we purchased for $49,900 in 2014. We started out in this house with just the two of us, then I became a Family Home Provider and we had a special needs adult live with us in our second bedroom, then I became pregnant with twins and ended up on bed rest having to give up being an FHP, then we delivered said twins and lived with the 4 of us for about 1.5 years until baby 3 made her debut. And we 5 have lived in that same 1,080 square foot house for the last 7 months.

The following pictures reflect some of our life in “The Krampy Shanty” during that time. And please be on the lookout soon for the for real after photos of our house with double square footage! I can’t wait to show you all the changes we’ve made for under $20,000!!!

So that’s what our house looked like for the last 3 years. Not too shabby for under 50k! And now…. pretty much everything is different. I’ll do some new reveals soon, so stay tuned!
