My parents were in town this weekend. They stayed with us, and we had a great time. I got to go shopping with my mom (I can’t remember the last time I went shopping…) and I found the perfect Christmas gift for Steve, so that’s exciting!
They came to visit because we’re going to be here in Louisville this year for the holidays, so we’ll miss having Thanksgiving with either of our families. I’m glad I got to see them, even if it was just for a few days.
One of the places I took them was the walking bridge downtown. You can walk right over the Ohio river from Kentucky to Indiana.
The weather was great, if a bit windy, and we got a good view of the sunset over the skyline. Many pictures were taken, par for the course in my family.
It’s such a blessing to spend time with family during the holidays – I hope you get some quality family time this week, too!
